Uma abordagem reflexiva sobre a importância da vacinação no ambiente escolar

Abstract

Vaccination is one of the greatest achievements of mankind, an important tool for health prevention. Through the link between health and education, opens up a range of possibilities for discussions to be treated in the classroom. In this sense, this article aimed to understand the dissemination of knowledge in the school environment about the importance of vaccination, encouraging students to seek reliable sources of research. This is a study of literature review of reflective approach, developed from national scientific articles and government sources, on the subject of vaccination and its importance in the educational sphere, in a sample space between the years 2019 and 2023. This study was built with selection 11 scientific articles obeying the eligibility criteria for the development of research. With the analysis of the productions found, it was possible to realize that despite the COVID-19 pandemic, vaccination coverage is low, because a large volume of information known as fake news circulates on the internet. Finally, it is concluded that the school is a space that provides knowledge and assists in the choices of individuals in the search for reliable sources, through actions that lead to discussion and reflection on immunization by vaccine. In addition to reflecting the importance of vaccination as an effective and safe measure in the prevention of immunopreventable diseases and in the protection of individual and collective health.
