Representação feminina no ensino de física nas escolas do Médio Parnaíba

Abstract

This article aimed to map the reality of teachers who work in the area covered by the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Piauí (IFPI) Angical campus, identifying the percentage of teachers who are teaching the subject of physics in high schools in the cities adjacent to Angical do Piauí, as well as how many of these teachers completed their degree at the IFPI Angical campus. After identifying the teachers, an online questionnaire was administered and they were asked to report the difficulties they faced during their physics degree. The project aims to better understand the teaching career of women in physics teaching, and understand the difficulties they face during the graduation process until their entry into the job market. The present study was carried out through field research. Based on the research results, it is concluded that only two teachers who studied at the IFPI Angical campus currently teach in secondary schools. It was noticed that even in the face of existing and latent difficulties, teachers managed to graduate and today face problems inherent to the profession, although accentuated by gender
