O que a literatura e os documentos oficiais falam sobre o ensino de matemática através da resolução de problemas

Abstract

The present work deals with the teaching of mathematics through Problem Solving, with the objective of analyzing what the literature and the guiding documents of the curriculum say about the teaching of Mathematics through problem solving. From the perspective of understanding what are the researchers' positions on mathematics teaching, especially on teaching through problem solving and how Problem Solving can contribute to the education of the student. In order to achieve this objective, we carried out a bibliographical review, with the survey and analysis of scientific works, data from the Qedu portal, books and documents such as the BNCC and PCNs. The treatment of these data was done through a qualitative approach of a descriptive nature. Finally, we conclude that the teaching of mathematics through problem solving diversifies the practice in the classroom, provides the student with autonomy, creativity, teamwork, improves the interpretation of problem situations, logical reasoning and argumentation, contributing to the acquisition of knowledge. When analyzing the PCNs and the BNCC, it was possible to notice that problem solving is present in these documents that guide the curriculum, highlighting the need for the student to learn to solve problems so that, when faced with a similar situation, he can put these skills into practice, whether in everyday life or in the workplace
