Levantamento da arborização do canteiro central da rua Antônio Mascarenhas (bairro centro) no município de Riacho Frio (PI)

Abstract

In urban spaces, the presence of vegetation has been highlighted in a comprehensive way and brings with it numerous benefits for the population, providing a quality of life for people in the urban environment, shelter and food for birdlife, reducing the temperature and bringing beautification to the city. Given this, the present work aimed to prepare na inventory of afforestation in the central median of Riacho Frio Street, in a qualitative and quantitative analysis to identify the species and their sanitary and physical conditions using a previously prepared spreadsheet, identifying the species by scientific name and popular, origin (native or exotic), height, root system (outcrop), and phytosanitary conditions. The plants totaled 24 individuals with 4 different species, of médium size, and given the study carried out, it is clear that there were flaws in the management and planning of the species in terms of the choice of individuals in the central flower bed, which led to some of the problems encountered
