NAPNE no IFPI: conhecer, acolher e incluir

Abstract

This teaching material is a product of the Master's dissertation: "ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGIES FOR INCLUSION OF STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES IN EPT: A LOOK AT THE NAPNES OF IFPI," developed within the ProfEPT – IFPI program. It is a pedagogical tool aimed at supporting the practice of teachers and other professionals who work with students with disabilities or specific educational needs in EPT. Furthermore, it aims to provide knowledge about the role of NAPNE and disabilities; about strategies for welcoming students with disabilities and/or specific educational needs; about curricular adaptations and assistive technologies aimed at promoting the independence of these students. The goal is to facilitate the learning of these students through paths that value their potential, enabling them to become protagonists and encourage them to learn autonomously and participatively, overcoming their limitations. The use of assistive technologies expands the amount of stimulation students can receive when engaging in new learning. Given the complexity of the human brain and the importance of the interactions and learning that occur in EPT, believing in students' potential and providing new learning experiences with assistive technologies appropriate for each type of disorder or disability can bring great benefits to students with disabilities. We hope that you, the reader, will benefit from this material and, based on it, reflect on your own practice and the possibilities for working with students with disabilities and/or specific educational needs.
