Interlocução entre o ensino técnico profissional integrado ao nível médio e mercado de trabalho em turmas egressas (2011-2018) dos cursos técnicos ofertados pelo IFPI - Campus Parnaíba

Abstract

The research is about the Interconnection between Professional Technical Learning Integrated to High School and the Labor Market regarding the technical courses on Electronics, Building and Computing offered by the Federal Institute of Piauí – IFPI Parnaíba Campus, the alumni from the period of 2011-2018, for its presentation in the Graduate Program in Professional and Technological Education – PROFEPT. The main issue in this investigation is to know if the alumni from Technical Courses in High School Level (ETPNM) in IFPI – Parnaíba Campus are working in their field of study. This research’s main objective was to understand the paths which the alumni who studied in the years 2011 to 2018 from the three aforementioned courses followed. The specific objectives are: to identify if the alumni are using their expertise acquired in school and, if they are not, for which reasons; to collect information regarding the labor market in Parnaíba; to produce a digital guidebook – an educational product which informs students and which leads them to the best alternative for their professional future. Through research in scientific databases (SCIELO, CAPES and GOOGLE SCHOLAR), it was verified that this research is unprecedented when it comes to time and space approached. The study utilized documental research, interviews and questionnaires with the intention of obtaining the most information of the studied reality. Based on this brief perspective, the production of a digital guidebook is proposed (the educational product), which may display the opportunities offered by the labor market in Parnaíba, the free and public Higher Education courses available in this town and the public jobs that require compatible education (high school and technical education). The results obtained showed that most of the alumni of the ETPNM hope to access Higher Education using the National Exam for High School and most of them never worked in their field of education, even though they consider that the labor market in Parnaíba and surrounding locations is able to absorb technical professionals. This research’s intention is to collaborate with the guiding of students who are about to finish their basic education studies in order to better take advantage of the Professional and Technological Education acquired through the Federal Institute
