Abstract

Since mathematics is one of the curricular components considered difficult throughout the students' school trajectory, the research sought to identify and understand aspects that interfere with student learning, and aimed to identify the reasons that affect students' learning of mathematics in teaching. fundamental. In this context, through the questionnaires applied to the students and teachers of Mathematics, the present work sought aspects that would lead us to the difficulties of the 9th year students of the municipal school of Bom Principio do Piauí, being the school Ginásio Teresinha de Jesus Marques Rabelo. It was found that the main difficulties of students are linked to problems such as teacher and student lack of motivation, difficulties in elementary content, lack of skills in Mathematics. It is notable in many students, deficiency in content from previous years, especially in basic mathematics, reading problems and lack of internet, according to some teachers there was an increase in difficulties in learning mathematics in an aggravating way in remote classes being some of the aspects of difficulty of learning. The results obtained in this research, although superficial, corroborate the theme addressed, and there are many limitations on the part of students and teachers due to the new model of remote classes due to the covid19 pandemic
