Abstract

This research reports on the participation of the undergraduate student in Mathematics of the Federal Institute of Piauí - Campus Corrente, in the Initiation to Teaching Grant (PIBID), in the period from August 2016 to February 2018, in a school of the state chain of the city Current-PI. The research aims to verify the learning of the students of the 8th through the game "Roulette Numerical Sets". The game was proposed with the objective to collaborate with the content of numerical sets. The reason for the construction of this concrete material was intended to make students to visualize the difference between the numerical sets, and consequently, a better understanding of this content. From this idea, initially a semi-structured questionnaire was applied, in order to diagnose with students the level of knowledge of these, and after the intervention with the game, an improvement in the level of learning was observed. Although the material presents flaws, it was possible to conclude with the research that the material is of great help in the process of teaching-learning, awakening the attention of the students through the ludic.
