dc.description.abstract The experiencie reported in this articule describes the stages of construction and development of the Project “Medicinal Garden at the Psychosocial Care Center (CAPS” in the municipality of Cocal- Pl. The Project aimed to promote the integration and well-being of patients, the local community and studenst through the creation of a sustainable cultivation space. The construction of the garden was carried out with recycled tires, involving the active participation of CAPS patient and community members, in which sustainable agriculture and occupational therapy practices were carried out to train those involved. The Project based on concepts of mental health, community integration, agriculture and therapy. The aim was to promote patient autonomy, stimulate social integration and raise awareness about ecologically correct agricultural practices. Through collaborative cultivation, it was possible to create a therapeutic and educational space that benefits not only the direct participants, but the entre community. The CAPS vegetable garden project in Cocal-PI contributed to the promotion of mentalhealth social integration and patient awarenesspt_BR
dc.description.resumo A experiência relatada neste artigo descreve as etapas de construção e desenvolvimento do Projeto “Horta Medicinal no Centro de Atenção Psicossocial (CAPS)” no município de Cocal- PI. O projeto teve como objetivo promover a integração e o bem-estar dos pacientes, da comunidade local e de estudantes por meio da criação de um espaço sustentável de cultivo. A construção da horta foi realizada com pneus reciclados, envolvendo a participação ativa dos pacientes do CAPS, membros da comunidade, na qual foram realizadas práticas de agricultura sustentável e terapia ocupacional para capacitar os envolvidos. O projeto se baseia em conceitos de saúde mental, integração comunitária, agricultura e terapia. Buscou-se promover a autonomia dos pacientes, estimular a interação social e conscientizar sobre práticas agrícolas ecologicamente corretas. Por meio do cultivo colaborativo, foi possível criar um espaço terapêutico e educativo que beneficia não apenas os participantes diretos, mas toda a comunidade.
