Analise das atividades antrópicas associadas ao problema de escassez hídrica da Lagoa de Parnaguá - PI

Abstract

The objective of this work was to diagnose the possible causes associated to the problem of water scarcity, besides analyzing the panorama of vegetation around the Lagoon of Parnaguá, through geotechnologies. To achieve this objective, an on-site visit was carried out to obtain the geographical landmarks by means of GPS navigation and the photographic record that certifies the situation in the areas visited during the study was used, using an image obtained in the Google Earth software and treated in the Quantum GIS Geographic Information System, used to show the final result of the mapping in the areas around the lagoon. The main land use activities identified around the lagoon were crop cultivation, cattle breeding, community site with irrigation pump installed in the water body, tourist point and the place where geological material was removed during the period when The lagoon was dry, being these activities inserted in the APP area of lagoa. And still with the visit in loco not noticed the presence of the vegetation that comprises the surroundings of the lagoon in the urban perimeter of the city. Through the diagnosis, it can be observed that the activities carried out on the banks of the lagoa have potential for the contribution of water scarcity, as well as the poor distribution of rainfall in the region, which is a natural phenomenon, where the average precipitation of the last five years In the municipality was on average 700, 252 mm, considering the years 2012 to 2016.
