Reflexões sobre o desenvolvimento de atividades de educação ambiental no ensino técnico integrado em Eletrotécnica

Abstract

Environmental Education (EE) is an educational process responsible for informing and training individuals concerned about environmental issues, aiming at the protection and conservation of nature. Thus, EE plays a very important role in the formation of citizens who are more participatory in issues of social and environmental responsibility. With this, this research consists of a study on the realization of environmental education activities that was conducted in the integrated technical course in the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Piauí (IFPI), aiming to analyze the understanding of students and the approach of teachers on environmental issues. Thus, it can be seen that, although EE is mandatory at all levels and modalities of education, there are still certain difficulties to insert it in integrated technical courses. Moreover, this research also showed that the interdisciplinary theme needs to be improved, because not all teachers use EE in their classes, where this theme is addressed more in disciplines that have greater relationship with the environment
