Intraempreendedorismo no setor público: o caso de um instituto federal de educação, ciência e tecnologia

Abstract

The general objective of this research is to verify the presence of entrepreneurial characteristics in the management of IFPI – Campus Angical from the perspective of the institution's managers. The study is justified by the importance that intrapreneurship has for both private and public organizations. In this sense, the theoretical framework was constructed in order to identify these characteristics and subsequently verify their presence through a questionnaire using the five-point Likert scale. Therefore, this study is classified as descriptive research, being a quantitative case study with regard to data processing. Based on the results, it was possible to verify that entrepreneurial characteristics are present in the current management of the institution and that they are applied by managers in the exercise of their functions. Furthermore, it was possible to note that survey respondents agree that such attributes inherent to the entrepreneur are important both in public management and for public managers. Flexibility was the entrepreneurial characteristic most perceived in management and the Ability to Work in a Team is the characteristic most applied by the institution's managers in the daily routine of their respective functions.
