Análise qualitativa do perfil dos professores atuantes nas séries iniciais do ensino fundamental em Caxingó-PI

Abstract

It is known that education is of great importance for the instruction of individuals and, although the initial grades of fundamental education need a greater focus in relation to the other stages, there is a neglect in the training of teachers who work in this stage. However, knowing that teachers who work in the grades mentioned above, as well as in other grades, need to have academic training in their area of expertise, even so, there are municipalities that have teachers without higher education and who work mainly in this very important stage. Therefore, the objective of this study was to know the profile of these teachers and the teaching strategies used by them, in order to understand whether the lack of academic training interferes in the teaching and learning process. The study was carried out in the city of Caxingó-PI, which has 5,039 inhabitants in the municipal territory, where it has eleven schools that were targets of the research. A questionnaire was used with relevant questions about the training and professional practice of teachers, and there was also a single, face-to-face visit to each school as a data collection method, which has the purpose of helping to understand the profile of each professional and structure available for teaching in the initial grades of education. It was noticed with the study that the encouragement of continuing education is necessary for a better methodological adaptation by the teachers, it was also possible to identify educational problems that make these adaptations difficult, such as the lack of teaching materials
