Análise da evasão no curso de licenciatura em física do IFPI - Campus Angical do Piauí, no período de 2011 a 2014

Abstract

This paper analyzes the avoidance in the Bachelor's Degree in Physics with the objective to investigate the factors that most influence the avoidance of students of the course. For this goal could be achieved, we sought to identify the difficulties of students that lead to avoidance of Degree courses in Physics, also checking through students who continue on the course, which generates such difficulties coming to culminate in the withdrawal; and, finally, suggest that initiatives taken by the IFPI are likely to reduce the evasion of the Bachelor's Degree in Physics. The research is descriptive, with a qualitative approach in order to understand the problems encountered in the course, more precisely the causes of the large number of evasion in this area, specifically at the Federal Institute of Piauí - Campus Angical. To perform this study were questionnaires with open and closed questions for a sample of ten (10) permanent students and ten (10) escaped the Bachelor's Degree in Physics, totaling twenty (20) investigated. Among the research is concluded that there is no specific reason for leaving the course, but a joint external and internal factors to the university and connected directly to students. It is believed that the results obtained may lead the institution to seek ways that will reduce the dropout rate and with the immediate effect of increasing professionals for basic education, taking as basic attitudes of encouragement and motivation, through classes practices in the laboratory, to strengthen the disciplines that cause high rates of failure, among others
