O uso do aplicativo Forest como ferramenta pedagógica para o ensino de ecologia e sensibilização sobre uso excessivo do celular

Abstract

With the advancement of technology, social media are immersed in a practical area where the use of applications is seen as frequent. Schools are not left out of this, many applications have been created to facilitate the teaching of different subjects, but many times these programs have not had results, mainly because a large part of the student body prefers to use traditional means of teaching. The Forest app stands out for the fact that it can teach in two different ways: regulating the time that the individual is distracted on the cell phone, in addition to being able to plant trees and study the environmental balance of the forest that he planted himself. That is, the longer the person does not use the cell phone, the more different types can be planted within the application, which will end up challenging the student, in a way, to exchange the time spent on the cell phone for the waiting time for growth and planting their species. Thus, a proposal was made to students from two classes of the technical course in high school environment at IFPI - Campus Pedro II about the idea of using this application for a better understanding of the environmental balance and control of time spent on cell phones and also a survey was carried out to find out if students use any application intended for teaching, this research aimed to analyze and seek to know whether or not there is the interaction of applications that contribute to learning. Thus, there was also a survey to see which devices are compatible with the application, and finally, two questionnaires were applied with students to verify and analyze the time spent and how they use applications that assist in learning.
