Mayombe: a dessacralização de um herói

Abstract

This research focuses on the work of African literature Mayombe, production Pepetela Angolan writer, and is intended to develop a reflection around the figures of the hero and point the desecration of the Angolan hero throughout the narrative . The text allows one to identify the changes in traits and behaviors of the " heroes " of the guerrillas . To give impetus to the debate will be analyzed the relationship between nationalism , identity and nation, early theories about the " romantic hero " as well as a brief historical overview of Angola's independence.
