dc.description.abstract Forest fires have emerged as one of the environmental problems that has grown the most in Brazil in recent years, and which has triggered a series of environmental, social, economic and even human losses. The state of Piauí, according to data from INPE (2022), recorded a significant increase in fire outbreaks in the last five years, with emphasis on the municipality of Uruçuí, which leads the ranking of those that burn the most annually. Thus, the research aimed to analyze the spatial arrangement of fire outbreaks in Uruçuí-PI, from 1999 to 2021, seeking to verify the causes of this phenomenon and establish spatial relationships, through the use of geoprocessing and remote sensing tools. With the spatialization and overlapping of data, it was possible to carry out a risk zoning of the municipality and identify that the places with the highest fire occurrence corresponded to soybean cultivation sites, directly relating the incidence of fire in Uruçuí with the strong development of the activity local agricultural.pt_BR
dc.description.resumo Os incêndios florestais tem se configurado como um dos problemas ambientais que mais tem crescido no Brasil nos últimos, e que tem desencadeado uma série de prejuízos tanto ambientais, como sociais, econômicos e até mesmo humanos. O estado do Piauí, segundo dados do INPE (2022), registrou um crescimento significativo de focos de incêndios nos últimos cinco anos, tendo destaque para o município de Uruçuí que lidera o ranking dos que mais queimam anualmente. Deste modo, a pesquisa objetivou analisar o arranjo espacial dos focos de incêndio em Uruçuí-PI, no período de 1999 a 2021, buscando verificar as causas desse fenômeno e estabelecer relações espaciais, através da utilização de ferramentas de geoprocessamento e sensoriamento remoto. Com a espacialização e a sobreposição dos dados, foi possível realizar um zoneamento de risco do município e identificar que os locais de maior ocorrência de fogo corresponderam a locais de cultivo de soja, relacionando diretamente a incidência de fogo em Uruçuí com o forte desenvolvimento da atividade agrícola local.pt_BR
