Abstract

The study addresses maternal entrepreneurship, emphasizing the challenges in reconciling motherhood and professional life. The general objective of the study seeks to identify the contributions that maternal entrepreneurship has in the lives of women who become mothers and who need to balance motherhood and professional life. The specific objectives are to define the importance of maternal entrepreneurship for the job market and the opportunities and challenges of maternal entrepreneurship. The literature review addresses entrepreneurship, maternal entrepreneurship and previous empirical studies. The methodology used is basic in nature with descriptive research. Regarding procedures, the study is classified as bibliographic. In the discussion of the results, the main studies that were chosen to prepare this research portray maternal entrepreneurship as an alternative to generating income for mothers. Mothers need to work and monitor their children's development and find entrepreneurship an alternative so that they can earn an income without distancing themselves from their family.
