| dc.description.abstract | Environmental Education is an important educational process to form citizens with an environmentally sustainable stance. The research aimed to investigate environmental education practices in the final years of elementary school and the role of the teacher in developing sustainability in teaching and learning environments. The methodology used in this work is based on exploratory bibliographic research. For the theoretical basis, seven articles published between 2011 and 2023 were selected with the keywords: Environmental Education and education in primary education and analyzed based on the content of Environmental Education applied to teaching, mainly those applied to primary education and which talk about the role of the teacher in Environmental Education. From the analysis of the seven selected articles, it is observed that the investigation of environmental education practices in elementary education and the role of the teacher in the development of Environmental Education is already a reality and that many schools are already working on this issue of insertion and improvement to pass on quality content even with difficulties. It is therefore concluded that it is necessary to develop studies on the topic of Environmental Education. To achieve this, educators need to be trained so that they are prepared and focused to educate children in the final years of elementary school because they are in the development phase, which is the best age to raise awareness among individuals, so that they take care of the environment. Environment, also highlighting that they will be the future of our planet, thus having a dominant result on a future in a sustainable environment. | pt_BR |
| dc.description.resumo | Educação Ambiental é um processo de educação importante para formar cidadãos com uma postura ambientalmente sustentável. A pesquisa teve como objetivo investigar as práticas de educação ambiental nos anos finais do ensino fundamental e a função do professor para o desenvolvimento da sustentabilidade em ambientes de ensino e aprendizagem. A metodologia utilizada no presente trabalho baseou-se na pesquisa bibliográfica exploratória. Para o embasamento teórico, foram selecionados sete artigos publicados entre 2011 e 2023 com as palavras-chave: Educação Ambiental e educação no ensino fundamental e analisados com base no conteúdo de Educação Ambiental aplicado ao ensino, principalmente aqueles aplicados ao ensino fundamental e que falassem do papel do professor na Educação Ambiental. A partir da análise dos sete artigos selecionados nota-se que a investigação das práticas de educação ambiental no ensino fundamental e a função do professor para o desenvolvimento da Educação Ambiental já é uma realidade e que muitas escolas já trabalham essa questão de inserir e se aprimorar para repassar um conteúdo de qualidade mesmo com dificuldades. Conclui-se desta forma que é necessário que sejam desenvolvidos estudos sobre o tema Educação Ambiental. Para isso, os educadores precisam ser capacitados para que estejam preparados e focados a educar as crianças nos anos finais do ensino fundamental porque elas estão em fase de desenvolvimento, a qual é a melhor idade para se conscientizar os indivíduos, para que cuidem do meio ambiente destacando ainda que elas serão o futuro do nosso planeta, tendo assim um resultado satisfatório visando um futuro em um ambiente sustentável. | pt_BR |
