Vestuário feminino na pós-modernidade: uma análise sobre estilo e o jeans na década de 80

Abstract

The purpose of this work was to analyze and understand how clothing was seen and imposed in post-modern society in the 1980s and how it influenced and influences the style of the year 2023. Knowledge in the area of fashion, clothing, post-modernity, style, social struggles, were addressed in this work. We chose to focus on the female public, where it was the public that fought the most for its freedom, thus breaking many rules that were imposed at the time, making it have an important life and role in society. Style was imposed in this research as a form of individual representation and freedom of choice. Presenting the jeans garment as one of these radical breaks imposed in the 80s, where this garment brings a lot of history and also style to those who consume it. The methodology used was inductive in nature, and the results obtained from bibliographical research and analysis of books, articles and editorials were satisfactory. In conclusion, for a style or a piece of clothing to be imposed and accepted by the society of the time in question, many struggles were necessary, and so the rescue of these pieces and style for the year 2023, analyzing how important the study is for us to understand how the process was. And to arouse the curiosity to know more. Thus, the study contributes to the sharing of knowledge between the author of the project and especially to bring this knowledge to readers in the same research area.
