dc.description.abstract The trafficking of wild animals is a persistent practice in Brazil and in the world. In Brazilian territory, the illegal trade in animals dates back to the arrival of the first settlers in Brazil, when macaws and other animals were taken to Europe. With the expansion of this trade, laws were created to try to curb the practice that causes environmental damage, including the extinction of species and degradation of the natural habitat. The destination of these animals is for private breeders, collectors and for cultural/therapeutic purposes in other countries. In this sense, the “Naja-Krambeck” case gained notoriety in 2020 due to the degree of organization and involvement of various actors, including employees of environmental agencies and pet shops in the Federal District. In this sense, the research problem is “What were the crimes and responsibilities attributed to the “Naja-Krambeck” case? The social and scientific importance of the research lies in discussing, based on academic knowledge, the trafficking of wild animals. The objective of this work is to discuss the trafficking of animals in the “Naja-Krambeck” case. To this end, a literature review was carried out based on scientific articles, federal legislation, news portals and consultation with the online judicial process 0707031-51.2020.8.07.0004. It was concluded that the “Naja- Krambeck” scheme has similar characteristics to organized crimes, where there are internal delegations, in which each member has a demand to fulfillpt_BR
