Abstract

The article shows us the influence of the COVID-19 virus on the hospital clothing of health professionals, during the pandemic period, leaving doubts about its effectiveness in reducing the spread of the virus, among those who work on the front line. The need to change clothing for healthcare professionals involves taking care of the virus, as it is highly contagious and spreads through the air. Before the pandemic period, these professionals used fabric lab coats. With the pandemic, the recommendation from the WHO - World Health Organization was that professionals cover their bodies as much as possible, thus using a layer of clothing, plus a disposable apron and mask. The methodology adopted for the construction of this study was carrying out field research in the hospital environment. As theoretical foundation, the authors Gil (2007) and Gerhardt and Silveira (2009) were used. Thus, the project presents a unique perspective by investigating the washing parameters of scrubs and their effectiveness.
