Georeferenciamento e análise da qualidade das águas das nascentes do rio Pirangí, usando ferramentas estatísticas multivariadas

Abstract

The municipality of Cocal has many springs, some of which supply the Pirangi River, in this sense, as many people live near the springs or the river, they end up using the water in their daily lives to drink, cook and carry out their daily activities. Thus, the general objective of this research is to understand the spatial evolution of physical-chemical attributes of groundwater from the sources of the Pirangi River, emphasizing quality for human and agricultural consumption, using multivariate statistical analysis techniques as a tool. The location and collection of the springs was carried out together with the Environment Secretary of the city of Cocal, after demarcating the points and collecting water from ten springs, the plastic bottles with water were sent to the Laboratory of Marine and Applied Geology, Environmental Geochemistry sector, from the Department of Geology at the Federal University of Ceará to carry out the physical-chemical analyses. Then, georeferencing of the studied area was carried out, use of descriptive and multivariate statistics, water quality index in order to have an understanding of the data and variability. The results demonstrate that most of the springs are vulnerable, affecting the water quality index, and the spatial variability of the elements and their correlations are explained by the multivariate technique. The multivariate statistical treatment techniques allowed us to understand the current state of water quality for human consumption, as well as to identify the factors that influence the chemistry of the spring waters in the studied area
