Empreendedorismo religioso: um estudo sobre o potencial do segmento religioso no turismo local de Oeiras

Abstract

The research aims to show the importance of religious entrepreneurship in religious manifestations in the city of Oeiras and in local commerce. Tourism is considered an activity of relevant importance for the economic development of certain municipalities. The objective of the work is to understand the factors related to religious tourism based on the potential caused by entrepreneurship through cultural and religious activities carried out in the municipality of Oeiras. The methodology was based on theoretical research, followed by the operationalization of a bibliographical research using photographic records of some tourist attractions and commercial points in the city of Oeiras. In this, it was found that tourist activities generate opportunities with religious entrepreneurship, in a cultural scenario full of religious manifestations through their representations. The municipality of Oeiras-PI has several tourist attractions that attract tourists. There is an appreciation on the part of visitors, who are massively attracted by the religiosity present in the historic construction of the municipality, with greater emphasis on the Holy Week period. It concludes by verifying that there is a need for greater action by public authorities and the private sector in carrying out actions to attract visitors throughout the year, in order to reduce the effects generated by tourist seasonality.
