Etnofisíca: estudos das ondas sonora através do berimbau

Abstract

This article's subject of study is ethnophysical knowledge about the sound waves of the berimbau and its contributions to the teaching of physics. Ethnophysics involves universal and local aspects, regarding knowledge about physical phenomena. We sought to present contributions to this line of studies, taking into account the ethnophysical knowledge of capoeira practitioners about the sound waves produced by the berimbaus, a monochord instrument used in capoeira circles. From this perspective, the study aimed to understand the knowledge and practices required for the construction and use of the berimbau in the production of sound waves, highlighting its relationship with the contents of mechanical oscillations foreseen in the 2nd year of High School curriculum. Starting from the question of what knowledge and practices are required for the construction and tuning of the berimbau, relating it to the mechanical oscillation content seen in the 2nd year of high school. It is noteworthy that this work will promote contributions to teaching practices through interculturality in the educational development of students in a contextualized way.
