Slow fashion: desafios para uma moda sustentável

Abstract

This research has as its theme the slow fashion movement, which appears in the field of fashion and design after the terms slow food and slow design, terms that help us to undestand the emergence of this category in contemporany fashion from the criticality about the materials used in clothing and footwear manufacturing. It is an exploratory study, of bibliographic nature, which aims to know this phenomenon to point out the current challenges to implement sustainable fashion (slow fashion). To understand the topic, he used the CAPES platform for theses and dissertations and we cut the time over the latest studies, about slow fashion and sustainability, in the same way for articles. what are the challenges of the slow fashion sistem to have sustainable fashion in the face of fast fashion? And from that inquiry came other goals, to understand fast fashion and its impact on the fashion world; characterize the fashion industry and its origin to understand its current context and know the challenges of the slow fashion system to have sustainable fashion in the face of fast fashion. Given this, the present work becomes og great relevance as an instrument to reflect on the slow fashion movement and the impacts that it can generate for the development of products with a social and environmental responsibility nature
