dc.description.abstract This work aims to develop and apply techniques of tensor calculus that allow us to write the equations of classical mechanics and electromagnetism, in relativistic regime, in covariant form. In the first three chapters, we build the theoretical foundation necessary for our purpose, to next, apply in the two following chapters with respect to relativity with focus on relativistic mechanics and the electromagnetism, respectively.pt_BR
dc.description.resumo Este trabalho tem por objetivo desenvolver e aplicar técnicas do cálculo tensorial, que permitem escrever as equações da mecânica clássica e do eletromagnetismo, em regime relativístico, na forma covariante. Nos três capítulos inicias, construímos a fundamentação teórica necessária ao nosso propósito, para, em seguida, aplicarmos nos dois capítulos seguintes, referentes `a relatividade com enfoque na mecânica relativística e o eletromagnetismo, respectivamente.pt_BR
