Abstract

From the emergence of courses for the qualification of the X-ray operator, in the 1950s, to professional regulation, in 1985, technical courses expanded and the demand for teachers increased. This study aimed to understand how the development of knowledge of the technologist in Radiology for teaching practice takes place through an integrative review. This is an integrative literature review, using the descriptors Radiology, Higher Education andRadiological Technology and their English counterparts. 06 articles were selected. It is observed that the discussion about the teaching role of the radiology technologist in teaching institutions of the radiology course at a technical or technological level showed that for radiology technologists who work in teaching, the greatest difficulty is in the preparation of classes, and that the development of the skills of this professional is based on experiential knowledge. It is concluded that the institutions offering these courses showed concern in training professionals capable of reflecting on their actions, developing the critical awareness necessary for healthcare professionals and, in this case, the technologist in radiology.
