dc.description.abstract Thermoelectricity is the area of Physics that studies phenomena on the direct transfor mation of thermal energy into electrical energy or vice versa. The Seebeck effect consists of the movement of electrons due to the junction of two different metals when exposed to a temperature gradient. The proposal of this work is based on the development of a didactic sequence, based on the theory of David Ausubel, with the use of diversified ac tivities in which initially there will be a formal exposition of the contents and finally the presentation of an experimental apparatus for the study of energy conversion. Thermal in electric from the Seebeck effect, in order to make possible the understanding of the subject in search of significant learning. In this sense, the work aims to answer the fol lowing question: how to implement the teaching of thermoelectricity and experimentally study the Peltier-Seebeck effect in high school or technical education, in order to promote meaningful learning? The idea is to introduce the concepts of thermoelectricity to high school students, contributing to their studies, enriching the curriculum with a scientific and technological phenomenon, unknown to most teachers.pt_BR
