Construção e validação de uma cartilha educativa sobre a importância da vacinação

Abstract

Vaccination is an important method of immunizing the population against vaccine- preventable diseases and should not be neglected, however, vaccination coverage rates have fallen in recent years. In view of this factor, the present study aimed to develop an educational booklet that brings clarification and knowledge to young people and school-age adolescents about the benefits and importance of vaccination, helping them to overcome the distrust established by the anti-vaccine movement and for the lack of information. It was based on three specific steps: Preparation of the booklet, consisting of the bibliographic survey; Elaboration of educational material, in which the production of texts and illustrations took place and, finally, the validation of the booklet through judges and representatives of the target audience. The technology obtained data from the global CVI of 83% by the evaluating judges and CVI of 89.5% by the target audience, making it necessary to make adjustments to improve the presented domains, as it is below 90%. After the integration of the necessary modifications suggested by the judges to the final version of the booklet, the technology was considered to be valid and can be used in educational institutions as educational material.
