PERCEPÇÕES DE IMPACTOS AMBIENTAIS DECORRENTES DO TURISMO NO AÇUDE CALDEIRÃO

Abstract

The work promoted an analysis of the environmental damage caused to the Caldeirão dam, which is located in the city of Piripiri-PI, as a result of tourism, identifying the main damages caused to the reservoir, mapping the areas most affected by human action and verifying the main residues found in the areas of greatest damage to the reservoir, as well as identifying social damages caused by polluting actions. To carry out the research, visits were made to the site with the aim of verifying the real conditions and creating a photographic collection of the areas most affected by human action, as well as identifying possible mitigating actions also taking into account the social aspects of the surrounding population, among the main waste identified at the site, plastics and metals are found in greater quantity, which are left inappropriately on the banks and even inside the reservoir itself. A major problem is the lack of socio-environmental responsibility on the part of those who frequent the site, and more effective actions are needed to change this reality and thus promote a greater degree of preservation of the site, which is the region's main source of supply.
