Educação ambiental no município de Demerval Lobão - PI

Abstract

Environmental Education plays an important role in schools to educate citizens who are aware of environmental issues. The present work has the general objective of analyzing the implementation of Environmental Education in the municipality of Demerval Lobão, Piauí. The specific objectives are to identify public policies for environmental education in the municipality; describe the environmental education activities proposed and implemented by the municipality; check the training courses for teachers related to environmental education offered by the municipality; identify and characterize the environmental education programs/activities proposed and implemented by the municipal schools. To achieve the research objectives, auxiliary methods of the observational type were used for data collection, observation and interview techniques. The research was carried out in three stages: bibliographical research, documental research and field research. The municipality has a Municipal Environmental Education Policy, with the research it was possible to evaluate the fulfillment of this policy and how environmental education is present in the Political Pedagogical Project of the schools. The municipal secretary of the environment and the municipal secretary of education have a partnership in the development of the Green Culture Program, which is passed on to schools with instructions on how environmental education should be developed. With the analysis of the data obtained by the research, it was verified that the “projects” about the environment presented by the schools, in their majority, are activities carried out on commemorative dates.
