Perfil do processo de ensino-aprendizagem de botânica no ensino médio

Abstract

The teaching of biology is fundamental for the improvement of the scientific knowledge of basic education students, considering that within this discipline sub areas of teaching are included, botany will be highlighted in this work. Botany, as it is a content that demands a lot of attention in specific details, does not arouse interest in students during their learning, this event is called botanical blindnes s. In order to evaluate the teaching learning process of botany in a state teaching school, a qualitative research was carried out. The teacher answered a semi structured interview, while the students answered a questionnaire, both instruments were intende d to analyze the perception of the subjects involved in order to characterize the teaching and learning of botany addressed in the classroom. The results show that during the teaching of botany, the teacher makes a lot of use of the traditional teaching me thod based on the fact that the teacher is the holder of knowledge and this passes on the same to students. However, the teacher tries to vary his teaching methodolog y by inserting technical visits , laboratory classes as a teaching strategy that can reduce difficulties in learning botany.
