O vestuário infantil como suporte de histórias e memórias afetivas e a importância da conservação têxtil

Abstract

The article is a result of research executed at the Fashion Design Higher Course of Technology at the Federal Institute of Piauí (IFPI), Teresina campus South Zone, in which aims to analyze prints on women's children's clothing in 1980s and 1990s, that bring affective family memories, defining a piece of clothing as an object of memory and demonstrating how the conservation of these textile articles work. It is a qualitative, descriptive and interpretive research, because it brings memories of testimonies that have experienced the experience of making and using. The choice and relevance of the theme was due to the lack of guidance on the conservation of old affective textiles and the interest in entering the production of children's clothing. It analyzed the interviewees' speeches and it was able to obtain results which bring themes, materials, techniques, memories and affections about clothes, beyond guidance on their conservation.
