| dc.description.abstract | Artificial Intelligence has brought about significant changes in education, with ChatGPT standing out as a tool to support the teaching-and-learning process. In this context, the objective of this study was to analyze the perceptions of students in the Systems Analysis and Development Technology program at the Federal Institute of Education, Science, and Technology of Piauí - Picos Campus regarding the benefits and challenges of using ChatGPT in an academic setting. The research was exploratory and descriptive in nature, employing a quantitative approach based on a literature review and field research. The literature review was conducted through searches of national and international academic databases, while the field research was carried out by administering a questionnaire, which was completed by 42 students. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, including absolute and relative frequencies. The results showed that most participants use ChatGPT as a tool to support various academic activities, such as programming and writing summaries; at the same time, they highlighted challenges, such as the possibility of obtaining incorrect information and dependence on the tool. It is concluded that ChatGPT represents an important resource to support teaching and learning, provided it is used responsibly. | pt_BR |
| dc.description.resumo | A Inteligência Artificial tem promovido transformações significativas na educação, destacando-se o ChatGPT como uma ferramenta de apoio ao processo de ensino-aprendizagem. Nesse contexto, este estudo teve como objetivo analisar a percepção dos estudantes do curso de Tecnologia em Análise e Desenvolvimento de Sistemas do Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia do Piauí – Campus Picos sobre os benefícios e os desafios da utilização do ChatGPT no ambiente acadêmico. A pesquisa caracterizou-se como exploratória e descritiva, com abordagem quantitativa, fundamentada em revisão bibliográfica e pesquisa de campo. A revisão bibliográfica foi desenvolvida a partir de consultas em bases de dados acadêmicas nacionais e internacionais, enquanto a pesquisa de campo foi realizada por meio da aplicação de um questionário, respondido por 42 estudantes. Os dados foram analisados por meio de estatística descritiva, utilizando frequências absolutas e relativas. Os resultados evidenciaram que a maioria dos participantes utiliza o ChatGPT como ferramenta de apoio à diversas atividades acadêmicas, como programação e resumos; ao mesmo tempo em que apontaram desafios, como a possibilidade de obtenção de informações incorretas e a dependência da ferramenta. Conclui-se que o ChatGPT representa um importante recurso de apoio ao ensino-aprendizagem, desde que seja utilizado de forma responsável. | pt_BR |
