A formação de professores no curso de matemática no Instituto Federal do Piauí - Campus Corrente : as disciplinas pedagógicas em evidência

Abstract

The teaching of mathematics is a fundamental pillar in the formation of individuals capable of understanding and applying mathematical concepts in different contexts. However, for this training to be effective, it is imperative that teachers have a solid foundation both in mathematics and in pedagogical disciplines. In this article, the importance of pedagogical disciplines in higher education in Mathematics will be discussed, highlighting how they contribute to the formation of trained professionals committed to quality teaching. In this way, a review of the literature and documents related to the theme was carried out, exploring the training of teachers in the mathematics course, with the aim of contributing to the readers' understanding of this specific theme. do they have primacy in relation to the pedagogical disciplines? and as main objective the study seeks to understand the importance of pedagogical disciplines in the training of Mathematics Degree teachers at IFPI - Campus Corrente. To support the theoretical foundation, authors such as Pires (2000), Cury (2001), among others, are used, who address the lack of integration between specific and pedagogical disciplines. It is therefore concluded that investing in these disciplines is essential to promote a meaningful and enriching mathematical teaching so that students become critical and participatory citizens in society
