Desafios do ensino de geometria no ensino médio

Abstract

The present work aims to present a vast field of possibilities of how the content of Geometry is worked in High School, in addition to portraying the importance of content for understanding the nature and the world that surrounds us.With the present study, we intend to know and analyze critically what is taught in Geometry and to diagnose the factors that lead teachers to work or not Geometry, the difficulties faced, the resources used and the methodology used by them. The entire process of investigation and analysis was presented through lectures by theoreticians endowed with a critical conception that contributed to the understanding and foundation of the study, as well as the pedagogical practice itself that was used as a methodological element of research analysis. At the end of this work, we present some possible solutions so that Geometry can resume its space in secondary education, directing the teachers, so that they can transmit this content with more emphasis, safety and clarity for the students, besides making them aware about its importance in the daily life of every citizen.
