A introdução da história da química para alunos do ensino médio

Abstract

The History of Chemistry can provide students with a more complete insight, a development through science, a greater involvement in scientific knowledge, a critical point of view, and the demystification of chemistry as bad or difficult to understand. In this way, a qualitative and quantitative research was developed with high school students of a state public school. The objective of this work is to verify qualitatively and quantitatively the knowledge and understanding of the students of High School with the insertion of the History of Chemistry to the contents of the discipline. The work was obtained with the use of questionnaires for the data collection, making sure that the insertion of the History of Chemistry in the teaching of students learning significantly improved the knowledge and understanding of the discipline, arousing the search for more knowledge about the subject. Therefore, it is proposed to introduce the History of Chemistry with the programmatic contents of the discipline to develop and propagate scientific knowledge to students of the public network.
