O papel da escola na inclusão de alunos com deficiência

Abstract

This work is the result of a research proposal that aims to describe, analyze and discuss factors that involve the real situation of special and inclusive education in the school environment. It is believed that many standards and methods are still unknown to education professionals or that, for various other reasons, they are not applied as they should and that this would result in the integration of students, but who are not in fact included. Thus, ways of better understanding reality will be researched using for analysis a part of the available bibliography addressing some common aspects that students with disabilities in Brazil go through. The environment, structure, knowledge, skills and attitudes of the school community were taken into account when working with students who need inclusion, remembering how important it is for them to be active subjects of their citizenship. Thus, leaving a theoretical perspective approaching concepts such as accessibility and the role of the teacher in the life of disabled students, what the bibliography has already managed to portray in reality, that is, practice, will be taken into account.
