Pesquisa comparativa sobre o ensino do Teorema de Pitágoras nos livros didáticos do 9°ano do PNLD e da rede privada

Abstract

Mathematics, like any discipline, requires study and dedication. Thus, the textbook is one of the most used resources in the classroom, as it plays a significant role for both the teacher and the student, being the closest resource, especially for public school students. Therefore, with the activities of the internships in the final years of elementary school, difficulties were detected in various contents, especially the Pythagorean theorem, which is one of the metric relations of the right triangle, which, with this, this work aimed to discuss the approach of this content in two books, one inserted in the PNLD called “mathematics comprehension and practice” by the author Ênio Silveira and the other one from the private education network, called “fundamento ethical” by the author Odimar Navas Ferrite. To better achieve the objectives in the methodology, the method of bibliographic analysis was used through a table and it is concluded that the private network is better than the public network, but both have flaws.
