Autismo e inclusão escolar: os desafios da inclusão do aluno autista

Abstract

The theme of this paper is the inclusion of autistic students in regular primary school classrooms: challenges and possibilities. We started with the following problem: what are the main challenges in including autistic students in the regular classroom? From this perspective, we defined the general objective as: to analyze pedagogical actions in the regular classroom in order to favor an effective and significant process in overcoming the learning difficulties of students with autism. And as specific objectives: to verify the difficulties faced by the school community in contributing to the development of autistic students; to get to know the students' learning environment; to highlight the pedagogical actions in the school environment that contribute to the learning of students with autism; to define pedagogical strategies that collaborate with teachers and favor autistic students' interaction in everyday school life. This research has a qualitative, descriptive approach and its procedures are characterized as bibliographical. This study was based on the ideas of the following theorists: Borges (2005, p. 3, apud Bortolozzo, 2007), Miranda e Filho (2012), Cunha (2016), Fumegalli (2020), Gil (2017), among others.
