O processo ensino-aprendizagem de matemática e alunos com surdez: análise bibliográfica sobre os desafios e possibilidades na sala de aula

Abstract

This article is the result of research carried out by a student on the mathematics degree course at the IFPI Campo Maior campus - PI. It aims to characterize the teaching-learning process of mathematics for deaf students in regular basic education, identifying the challenges and possibilities highlighted in current academic-scientific productions. In carrying out this study, we based ourselves on Goldfeld (1997), about educational philosophies in the education of the deaf, on (Law No. 10.436, of April 24, 2002), which deals with the legality of Libras, in the studies of Lacerda (2021), regarding deafness for being a bibliographical review research we carried out studies of texts that address the theme. This study is a literature review. The aim is to describe the classroom context informed by the productions. To highlight the basic mathematics teaching strategies present in the productions studied. Analyze the limits and possibilities in the teaching-learning process of basic mathematics for deaf students, mentioned in the productions. The methodology of this research had a number of steps: Reading and selecting the material to carry out the literature review; Reading and organizing the data to obtain knowledge; Writing up and analyzing the results found. In conclusion, despite a lot of existing research on teaching mathematics to deaf people, it is still a major obstacle for these individuals to be included among hearing people and in non-specialized institutions.
