Abstract

ABSTRACT This work is based on the interest of understanding how the inclusion of students with Intellectual Disabilities and Down Syndrome occurs. Therefore, the main objective of this work is to analyze based on the contributions of authors and theorists on how the inclusion of students with Intellectual Disability and Down Syndrome occurs in the regular classroom environment and the methodologies they offer in the learning process. To this end, the main legislation and government actions were analyzed, such as the Federal Constitution of 1988, LDB/9394/96, Decree nº 5.296 (2004), PNE (2008) and through a bibliographic review of authors such as: Silva (2009), Júnior et al (2011), Tubino (2013), Dias (2013), Aranha (2001), Barros (2011), Landi (2007), Mata (2018), Reis (2015), Rodrigo e Ambrósio (2015) e Osório (2020).Given this context, the relevance of this work is the expansion of knowledge about Intellectual Disabiliy ID and Down Syndrome - T21, how the inclusion of these students occurs, presenting the barriers that exist in the teaching-learning process to which are linked and suggest for promotion and improvement of the capacities and abilities of these students.
