Percepção de docentes de uma instituição federal de ensino, relacionada a inclusão escolar de pessoas com síndrome de Down

Abstract

In view of the great importance of working with the school inclusion of students with special needs, this study aimed to understand the perception of teachers about Down syndrome and its sociais inclusion process. This study was carried out with 30 professors from the Federal Institute of Piauí-Uruçuí campus, in which they were submitted to an online questionnaire with 10 questions, which were open and closed, and at the end the data were collected, and content analysis was done., separating each question for better measurement of the content. Once this was done, it was noticed that a large part of the interviewees did not have total security in receiving a student with Down syndrome in their classrooms, claiming a lack of continuing education, but not shirking their responsibilities, knowing the importance of including these students in the regular education, having clarity of its role in the education of students with Down
