Dificuldades de aprendizagem em matemática no ensino fundamental II: um estudo realizado no munícipio de Uruçuí - PI

Abstract

The teaching of Mathematics has evolved over time, requiring contextualization and interdisciplinarity for a better understanding of the causes and difficulties in learning this subject. Learning math is not an easy task, however, it is necessary to create ways to innovate teaching showing the real importance of this area of knowledge in everyday life. In this perspective, the study was elaborated through a bibliographic research combined with a descriptive qualitative analysis through a questionnaire applied to teachers who teach in the 6th and 7th grade classes of schools in the municipality of Uruçuí-PI, including the municipal and state. The objective of the work was to detect the main reasons that lead students to present difficulties in learning mathematics, through the teacher's perception. The results showed that the difficulties are related to a series of factors, including: content related to the previous series; basic operations, lack of stimulation, among others. Given this, it is concluded that the teacher must use methods to stimulate their students and also the development of logical reasoning, critical thinking and creativity, since their intervention is essential so that not only mechanical learning occurs, but a reflection on what is being learned.
