Abstract

The food delivery market itself has been growing gradually with the increase in technology, agility, the need for comfort and for being a survival activity in commerce for many people. Therefore, the work aims

to identify the repercussions of the pandemic caused by the new SARS- Cov-2 coronavirus in these areas and the use of these delivery services as

one of the services maintained as essential, which are used by companies as means of survival and growth in the market in the face of economic difficulties, also mentioning the hygienic sanitary conditions, the health of the deliverers and the necessary changes that have occurred in the industry. The work was carried out through readings using the indexing terms “Covid-19 impacts on delivery services”, “health of deliverers in the pandemic”, “restaurants and covid” for research, in which the bibliographic searches were carried out on virtual platforms like SciElo and Google Scholar. Thus, as a result of the reflections, it was demonstrated how relevant this sector was for workers, consumers and the economy, despite the fact that the study presents as the biggest problem the disregard for the health of the delivery personnel. It is concluded with the study that the pandemic generated changes in society on a large scale and in the food sector would not be different, however delivery services with the increase in technology and demand for convenience has a tendency to remain and expand even after the pandemic. and that its effectiveness in the economic development of small food networks was essential to balance the sector in the market during the period.
