Desafios e estratégias no ensino de ciências naturais para a aprendizagem de alunos autistas no ensino fundamental

Abstract

The present article is articulated from the problematic: what are the challenges and strategies in the teaching of Natural Sciences for the learning of autistic students in Elementary School? In view of this, the objective was to analyze the challenges and strategies in the teaching of Natural Sciences for the learning of autistic students in Elementary School. The study was developed through bibliographic research, based on an exploratory study in the Annals of the National Research Meeting in Science Education. Subsequently, Content Analysis was used for the thematic understanding of the challenges and strategies reflected in the articles presented by the researchers of the Meeting. The study revealed that the biggest challenges faced by teachers are the lack of continuing education programs and the absence of adequate structures and materials in schools for an effective inclusive education of autistic students. As strategies to face the challenges, the professors dedicate themselves to studies and research on the subject, to the adaptation of didactic materials and to the development of activities suitable for this target audience.
