O papel do PIBID na formação inicial de estudantes do curso de licenciatura em química do IFPI campus Cocal

Abstract

The Institutional Teaching Initiation Scholarship Program (PIBID) was created with the aim of stimulating and improving the training of basic education teachers. In this sense, the study aims to investigate the contributions of PIBID in the initial training of students of the degree course in Chemistry at the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Piauí (IFPI) Campus Cocal. For data collection, a structured questionnaire was applied with subjective and objective questions, the latter were elaborated according to the Likert scale. The analysis was carried out under three different aspects: actions developed in the field school; difficulties faced during actions at school; and PIBID's contributions to professional training, which involves identifying teaching knowledge and positive and negative factors in relation to PIBID. The results showed that the PIBID played an essential role in the training of undergraduates, especially with regard to the development of knowledge and skills inherent to their professional training, which were made possible through actions developed in the field school and interaction with students and supervising teachers. In addition, the results suggest that actions related to the expansion of vacancy and training of supervisors can be carried out in order to guarantee the access and permanence of students in the program. Therefore, the results of the research bring PIBID contributions to the initial training of teachers and support the relevance of the program in higher education institutions that offer degree courses
