A geometria nos anos finais do ensino fundamental: análise do conhecimento dos alunos do 9º ano em relação aos desenhos geométricos

Abstract

This paper explores the experience of a student of the degree course in Mathematics of the Federal Institute of Piauí - Campus Corrente - IFPI, with the Institutional Program of Initiation to Teaching - PIBID, that happened in a school of the state chain of the city Corrente Piauí, in classes of final years of Elementary School, where he started the restlessness about Geometric Drawing and its contribution in Geometry, aiming to verify if the use of the materials of construction of the Geometric Drawings, collaborates as a tool for learning Geometry, aiming to increase the process of teaching. This is a qualitative research, with the participation of thirty students of the 9th grade of the same school, developed following the methodology of Bardin (2011). The data were collected from a semistructured questionnaire where the students discussed the importance, and little practice of the construction of the Geometric Drawings, in sequence, two classes on triangles and their constructions, in which at the first moment, the suggested questions were not answered the same exercise list on the second opportunity, were answered by the same students. The results point out relevance to the practice of Geometric Drawings in the final years of Elementary School, collaborating with the understanding in Geometry.
