dc.description.abstract The main objective of the study is to analyze the perception and knowledge of adolescents about Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs), aiming to identify risk factors and informational gaps that influence young people's sexual behavior. The research was conducted at a public federal school in Valença do Piauí, involving 32 first-year high school students. The methodology included questionnaires applied before and after an educational intervention based on informative videos and interactive quizzes. The results indicate that, before the intervention, most students had superficial knowledge about STIs, with a focus mainly on AIDS, and many were unaware of other sexually transmitted diseases such as syphilis and gonorrhea. Moreover, there was widespread confusion about transmission methods, with many students believing that sharing utensils like plates and cups could transmit these infections. After the educational intervention, students showed a significant improvement in their understanding of the different STIs and the correct prevention methods. There was an increase in the recognition of the importance of using condoms and greater awareness of the risk of STI transmission, even in the absence of symptoms. Additionally, the intervention demonstrated that using playful methods, such as quizzes and videos, was effective in engaging students and promoting learning.pt_BR
